Shark Cake

Image

A couple of weeks ago I made a shark cake for a 3 year old’s birthday party.  The colour scheme was kept simple with a range of aquatic blues and whites.  The two tiers added plenty of height and drama while allowing for plenty of swimming space for the sharks!

Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody!  This halloween we made little ghostly cake pops embellished with super cute tags from Megan at The Pitter Patter Press.  The cake pops were just Old Fashioned Vanilla flavour with Vanilla Buttercream, but they were covered with gorgeously creamy white Lindt chocolate.  Super yummy!

We made a whole army of ghosts!  They are scarily delicious.

Back to School

Summer’s over and it’s the start of a brand new school year.  We made these sweet little cupcakes as a welcome back treat for the teachers and other parents. What better way to get the new academic year off to a sweet start!

These gorgeous printables are by the super talented Megan at The Pitter Patter Press.  I just love the fun, vibrant colours she uses.  Check out her etsy store for super cute digital designs.

Farmyard Invites

For our farmyard party, we prepared a couple of party essentials: invites, banners, decorations and party bags filled with bespoke goodies.  Our invites were similar to the ones above, and we followed the aqua and red colour scheme through to the rest of the party.

I love the bright colours and modern detailing on this invite.  So fun and striking at the same time.

Along the way I came across a couple of other gorgeous invites I just wanted to share:

Farmyard Party

Well you can’t have a farmyard party without farm animals can you?  For our farm themed party, we made a number of sweet treats to go with our tractor cookies.  We had a herd of marshmallow sheep cupcakes.

And a pen full of pig-pops.  These were super popular and disappeared with astonishing speed.  The little cake pops are just the perfect size for little toddlers to munch on!

And lastly the tractor cake.

And here they are all together:

Many thanks to the wonderful Maria of Sugarbee who gave us a helping hand.  You’re the best!

Tractors!

Get ready for some farmyard fun!  Here are some colourful tractor cookies that I made a little while ago for a fun farmyard themed party for a little boy.  The birthday boy in question loves tractors and farmyard animals and so it was the perfect theme for him!

Enjoy! Bespoke Events was responsible for designing a number of aspects of the party: the invites, cake and other sweet treats, decorations and party bags.

Stay tuned as we cover the party in the upcoming posts!

Charlie and Lola Cake

Today I wanted to feature a super-fun cake by my friend and talented baker Maria of Sugarbee.  It’s a cake that she made recently for a Charlie and Lola themed birthday party for a little boy.  I think she’s really captured Charlie and Lola and I especially love the 2D nature of the cake decorations, very true to the cartoon!

Check out more of her creations on her website.
